"Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression" (Psalm 19:12&13).

How To Be Saved

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

The Lord Jesus Christ has told us that mankind must be born again in order to see the kingdom of God. We learn this in the Gospel of John, where Jesus uses the word; "Verily" four times. The word "Verily" means  "Truly". And so Jesus has emphasized the fact that this is true, for those who might be in any doubt, such as the religious Jewish Pharisee Nicodemus to whom He was speaking. Let us see what Jesus told him;

"Verily, verily I say unto thee except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

Jesus answered, Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."

John 3:5-7

And so we read in this Chapter that it is by faith in Jesus Christ that a person is born again;

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

 John 3:16-18

And so when a person believes on the Lord Jesus Christ and is born again they are saved. How are we born again through faith in Jesus Christ?

It’s as simple as ABC:

ADMIT you are a sinner:

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God”

Romans 6:23

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us”

1 John 1:9&10

BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ:

"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Romans 10:9&10

CALL on the Lord Jesus Christ.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”

Romans 10:13

And we are to CONFESS Jesus Christ as our Saviour before men also, and share the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ with others.

Jesus declared;

“Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven”

Matthew 10:32&33

The Lord Jesus Christ stands at the doors of our hearts and declares;

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne”

Revelation 3:20&21

If the Reader has not yet believed on the Lord Jesus Christ and invited Him into their heart I would encourage them to do so. This is a matter of urgency which outweighs everything else. None of us can be certain of our next breath.

And if you have done this you will be born again of the Holy Spirit of God, and will become a member of God's family;

"And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you...

 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."

Romans 8:10&11, 15-17

And next since you are a new-born in God's family, like any new born child you will need to grow by feeding on the "Sincere milk of the Word that ye may grow thereby" (1 Peter 2:2). And the only Word of God in English is the King James 1611 Bible, as we explain in our Main Website Menu heading; "Why We are KJB Only." We would suggest beginning with the New Testament, and with the Gospel of John first of all.
